Effective Date: October 25, 2026 Last Updated: October 25, 2026
The Maurea stands behind the quality of the furniture we offer.
This 5-Year Limited Warranty (“Limited Warranty”) applies to eligible tables and chairs purchased directly from themaurea.com and describes the warranty coverage, exclusions, claim process, and available remedies.
1. Warranty Coverage
All tables and chairs purchased directly from The Maurea through themaurea.com include a 5-year limited warranty against qualifying defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.
The warranty period begins on the date the product is delivered to the original purchaser.
No separate warranty registration or additional purchase is required.
Products Covered
This 5-Year Limited Warranty applies to:
Dining tables
Other tables expressly sold with the 5-year warranty
Dining chairs
Other chairs expressly sold with the 5-year warranty
If a product is covered, the warranty may also be identified on the relevant product page.
2. Products Not Covered by the 5-Year Furniture Warranty
Unless expressly stated otherwise on the product page, the 5-year furniture warranty does not apply to:
Vases
Mirrors
Decorative objects
Candles
Coasters
Tableware
Tablecloths
Placemats
Other textiles
Other decor and accessories
These products may still be protected by applicable consumer laws and any separate warranty expressly provided with the product.
3. What the Warranty Covers
The Limited Warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that arise during normal use of the product within the warranty period.
Depending on the product, qualifying defects may include issues such as:
Structural failure caused by a manufacturing defect
Defective joints or connections
Manufacturing defects affecting the frame or legs
Defects in hardware supplied with the product
Manufacturing defects that materially affect the normal function of the product
Material defects that were not caused by ordinary use, misuse, or external damage
Coverage is determined based on the nature of the issue, the condition and age of the product, and the information provided with the warranty claim.
4. What the Warranty Does Not Cover
This Limited Warranty does not cover damage or deterioration resulting from circumstances unrelated to a manufacturing defect.
Normal Wear and Aging
The warranty does not cover normal changes that occur through ordinary use, including:
Scratches
Scuffs
Small dents
Surface wear
Fading
Fabric pilling
Compression or softening of upholstery
Normal loosening requiring routine maintenance
Changes in appearance associated with normal aging
Natural Material Variations
Wood, marble, stone, veneer, and other natural or natural-looking materials may vary in:
Color
Grain
Veining
Texture
Pattern
Tone
Surface characteristics
These variations are generally part of the character of the material and are not considered manufacturing defects.
Natural materials may also change in appearance over time as a result of light, humidity, temperature, and normal use.
Accidental or Improper Damage
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
Accidents
Impact
Dropping the product
Improper handling
Misuse or abuse
Excessive loads
Improper storage
Water damage
Fire
Extreme heat
Excessive moisture or humidity
Harsh or inappropriate cleaning products
Failure to follow reasonable care instructions
Assembly and Modification
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
Incorrect assembly
Failure to follow supplied assembly instructions
Improper installation
Structural modifications
Alterations to the product
Improper repair
The use of a third-party repair service by itself does not automatically void this warranty. However, damage caused by an improper repair, alteration, or modification is not covered.
Improper Environment or Use
Unless the relevant product page expressly states otherwise, products are intended for normal indoor residential use.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by use:
Outdoors when the product is not designated for outdoor use
In unsuitable environmental conditions
For purposes materially different from those for which the product was designed
5. Upholstery, Fabrics, and Finishes
Where a covered chair includes fabric, upholstery, coating, veneer, paint, or another surface finish, the warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects but does not cover ordinary cosmetic changes associated with use.
Examples of conditions generally not considered manufacturing defects include:
Normal fabric pilling
Creasing
Minor stretching
Natural variation in fabric texture
Fading caused by sunlight
Staining
Damage caused by pets
Damage caused by sharp objects
Surface scratches
Damage caused by abrasive cleaners
Normal wear to painted or coated surfaces
6. Warranty Claims
If you believe your table or chair has a defect covered by this Limited Warranty, please contact:
Please submit your claim as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue.
Information Required
To help us evaluate the claim, please provide:
Your full name
Order number
Product name
Approximate date the issue was first noticed
A description of the issue
Clear photographs showing the problem
Additional photographs of the full product where relevant
Video, if the issue involves movement, instability, or another problem that is difficult to demonstrate in photographs
We may request additional reasonable information where necessary to evaluate the claim.
Proof of purchase may be required.
7. Warranty Assessment
After receiving the required information, The Maurea will review the claim to determine whether the issue appears to fall within this Limited Warranty.
Depending on the nature of the issue, we may:
Assess the claim using photographs or video
Request additional information
Request additional photographs
Request that a component or product be returned
Arrange another reasonable method of inspection
Submitting a warranty claim does not automatically mean that the claim is covered.
Coverage will be determined after reasonable review of the available information.
8. Available Warranty Remedies
If a claim is approved as a qualifying warranty defect, The Maurea will provide an appropriate remedy based on the nature of the defect and the circumstances.
The remedy may include:
Replacement parts
Repair
Replacement of the affected component
Replacement of the product
A partial refund where appropriate
A full refund where another reasonable remedy is unavailable or inappropriate
The specific remedy will depend on factors such as the defect, product availability, product age, and feasibility of repair or replacement.
Where permitted by applicable law, The Maurea may choose a reasonable remedy that appropriately addresses the covered defect.
Any remedy provided under this warranty does not reduce rights that cannot legally be limited.
9. Replacement Products and Parts
If a replacement product or component is provided, we will make reasonable efforts to provide the same item or an equivalent replacement.
Because collections, colors, materials, and products may change over time, the exact original product may no longer be available.
Where an identical replacement is unavailable, The Maurea may offer a reasonably comparable replacement or another appropriate remedy.
Small variations in color, grain, veining, texture, or finish between the original product and a replacement part may occur and are not necessarily defects.
10. Shipping Costs for Approved Warranty Claims
There is no fee to submit a warranty claim.
If The Maurea determines that a product has a defect covered by this Limited Warranty and return shipment or shipment of a replacement is reasonably required, The Maurea will cover reasonable eligible shipping costs associated with the approved warranty remedy.
Please do not ship a product or component back before receiving instructions from us.
Unauthorized shipping expenses may not be reimbursed.
11. United States Warranty Service
The Maurea primarily sells and ships products throughout the United States.
Warranty service for eligible U.S. orders will be arranged according to the nature of the claim and the customer’s location.
In some cases, a full furniture item may not need to be returned if the issue can reasonably be resolved through replacement components or another remedy.
12. International Orders
The Maurea may occasionally arrange delivery to Canada or the United Kingdom on an individual basis.
Eligible tables and chairs purchased directly from The Maurea remain subject to this Limited Warranty unless otherwise disclosed before purchase.
However, international warranty service may require different logistical arrangements because of:
International shipping availability
Product size or weight
Customs procedures
Local carrier availability
Replacement part availability
Please contact us before returning any product internationally.
Nothing in this section limits consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded in the customer’s jurisdiction.
13. Shipping Damage and Incorrect Items
Damage that is present when the order is delivered should be reported as soon as possible and is generally handled under our Returns & Refunds Policy rather than as a long-term warranty claim.
We recommend reporting visible shipping damage within 7 days of delivery so that we can investigate promptly with the carrier where necessary.
Please keep the product and packaging while the claim is being reviewed.
If you receive the wrong item, please contact:
14. Returns and the Warranty
The 30-day return period and this 5-Year Limited Warranty serve different purposes.
The Returns & Refunds Policy applies to eligible returns made within the applicable return period, including change-of-mind returns.
This Limited Warranty applies to qualifying manufacturing defects in covered tables and chairs during the warranty period.
A product being outside the 30-day return period does not by itself prevent a valid warranty claim.
Please refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy for complete return and refund terms.
15. Original Purchaser and Proof of Purchase
This Limited Warranty is provided in connection with eligible products purchased directly through themaurea.com.
To process a claim, The Maurea may require reasonable proof of purchase, such as:
Order number
Order confirmation
Purchase email
Other transaction information that allows us to verify the original purchase
Products purchased from unauthorized third-party sellers may not be covered by this specific warranty because The Maurea may be unable to verify their origin, condition, or purchase history.
16. Consumer and Implied Warranty Rights
This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
Federal and state law may provide additional warranties or remedies that exist independently of this written Limited Warranty.
Nothing in this Limited Warranty is intended to exclude, disclaim, restrict, or waive any implied warranty, statutory warranty, consumer protection, or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Where applicable law provides greater protection than this Limited Warranty, applicable law will control.
17. Changes to the Warranty Policy
The Maurea may update this Warranty Policy from time to time.
Any update will apply prospectively and will not reduce warranty coverage already applicable to a product purchased while an earlier warranty version was in effect, except where permitted by law.
We recommend retaining a copy of the warranty terms applicable at the time of purchase.
The Last Updated date at the top of this page indicates when the current version was most recently revised.
